We are seeking a skilled General Medicine Physician to join our team at Campbell River Hospital, a community hospital with a strong focus on providing high-quality patient care.
About the Role
This is a permanent specialty position in the Department of Medicine, where you will work collaboratively with a team of 8 experienced General Internists to provide consultant GIM care to a busy community hospital with 105 beds.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care as a General Medicine Physician, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in the hospital-based multidisciplinary clinic for liver disease, and contribute to the development of clinical programs and services.
- Share in a roughly 1:5 to 1:7 hospital-based call schedule, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
- Have the opportunity to join an existing clinic in the community, if desired.
Benefits
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement, including a Fee Premium, Annual Flat Fee, Recruitment Incentive, Relocation Costs, and Rural CME.

Requirements
- Hold FRCPC in General Internal Medicine and full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
- Have an interest in Rheumatology, Endocrinology, or Gastroenterology, which would be considered an asset.
