Lead Hardware Development Team at Lenovo

Lenovo, a global technology leader, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Hardware Engineering team. As a key member of our development organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of Lenovo's hardware products throughout their entire life cycle.

This leadership role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive decisions and ensure standardized product development processes are followed. You will work closely with operations, manufacturing, testing, and other teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee hardware product development through the entire life cycle
  • Work with the team to develop schedules, budgets, resource plans, critical deliverables, and other support requirements for assigned projects
  • Drive decisions and ensure standardized product development processes are followed
  • Work closely with operations, manufacturing, testing, and other teams
  • Develop team technical skills as part of continual growth
  • Identify mentorship opportunities and coordinate training and professional development for your team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience effectively communicating program plans, proposals, and results, as well as negotiating options at senior management levels
  • Previous experience leading a team of engineers and acting as a technical contributor in design reviews and decisions
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent
  • ~2+ years of management experience
  • ~Deep knowledge in one or more technical topics
