About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Truck Dispatcher to join our team at Big Rig Hauling. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatching and Scheduling: Coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Logistics and Operations: Maintain work records and logs, monitor personnel workloads and locations, and organize warehouse and work areas to optimize efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Emergency Response: Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations, ensuring the safety of our drivers and the public.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Knowledge and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with highway trucking rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, organized, and team player.
