Position Overview:
We are currently in search of an Aircraft Tow Operator to play a crucial role in our operations. This position is vital for the effective movement and preparation of aircraft, ensuring that they are ready for flight and operational efficiency is maintained.
As an Aircraft Tow Operator, your primary responsibility will be to safely maneuver aircraft to and from various locations, ensuring their readiness for departure. This role requires a commitment to shift work, flexibility, and a proactive approach to meeting flight readiness standards under diverse conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate specialized equipment to transport aircraft between hangars, terminals, and runways safely.
- Execute pre-flight preparation tasks to guarantee aircraft are fully ready for departure.
- Conduct routine inspections on movement and preparation equipment, completing necessary documentation.
- Marshal and reposition aircraft as required to meet operational demands.
- Participate in hangar maintenance, ensuring the availability of aircraft grooming supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in ramp and supply areas, ensuring they are free from debris.
- Adhere to strict timelines and schedules to promote efficient aircraft movements.
- Comply with safety regulations and protocols to foster a secure working environment.
- Engage in self-directed study and preparation for airport-related testing and certification.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail to uphold high standards in aircraft preparation and movement.
- Proficient in operating aircraft movement equipment with confidence.
- Flexibility to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work efficiently within strict deadlines and adapt to changing schedules.
- Self-driven and capable of performing tasks independently.
- Strong dedication to safety standards and adherence to procedures.
- Willingness to work outdoors in noisy environments and varying weather conditions.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods, with the capacity to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- No criminal background and ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
- Initiative to engage in self-study and prepare for required airport testing and certification.
