Job Summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for forming metal parts using specialized presses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and work process sheets
  • Lift and move heavy or awkward parts manually or with a crane
  • Operate grinders and other powered hand tools
  • Use cranes and forklifts
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe manner
  • Work in other areas or departments as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent schooling
  • Experience with grinding tools, drill press, and ironworker a plus
  • Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English
  • Must be physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components
  • Must be able to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies
