Job Description

Lorven Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems using Python and JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Effectively analyze large datasets to drive business decisions and outcomes.
  • Research and Development: Work on challenging and research-based initiatives using advanced machine learning methods to achieve tangible outcomes.
  • Software Development: Plan, design, and develop code to process, sanitize, and enrich IT Risk Data for reporting purposes using Python and JavaScript.
  • System Optimization: Design and optimize back-end systems (MS SQL Server, Snowflake) for ETL processes.
  • API Services: Develop and enhance API services.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with business users to understand their challenges and provide solutions by leveraging business systems and technology.
  • Project Management: Provide effort estimates, plan weekly sprints, and identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and project risks.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Expertise: Expert in Python programming to write production-ready codes with strong data profiling, cleaning, mining, and technical documentation skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, MS SQL, Snowflake, and data model design.
  • Machine Learning: Understanding and passion for machine learning and AI.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience with agile methodology and working in agile teams.
  • Communication: Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Critical thinker, creative problem solver, and data-driven approach.
  • Teamwork: Strong and supportive team player with experience working in fast-paced environments.
Nice-to-Have
  • ETL Experience: Previous experience with ETL processes.
  • Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies, parallel processing techniques, and Apache Spark, NoSQL/SQL databases.
  • BI Tools: Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Kibana.
  • Analytical Skills: Great analytical skills.
  • Financial Services: Familiarity with the financial services industry and IT Risk.
