Position Overview

The Sessional Instructor will oversee a half-credit course focused on Social Innovation, aimed at graduate students from various programs. This course emphasizes collaborative efforts across disciplines, social innovation principles, and project management skills, culminating in a comprehensive group project.

Course Structure

The course is scheduled for the Fall Term and will include weekly sessions. The Instructor is responsible for all teaching and administrative duties, as well as providing two hours of weekly consultation for students outside of class. Additional administrative tasks may arise following the course's conclusion. Instruction will involve guiding interdisciplinary student teams engaged in experiential learning projects in collaboration with community organizations, both in tutorials and online.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a master's degree in management or a related discipline, along with experience in coaching project teams engaged in experiential learning. Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree in management and a proven track record in graduate-level interdisciplinary education. Previous experience teaching at the master's level and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching are essential. Candidates with backgrounds in social innovation, collaboration, and project management will be favored.

Compensation

The remuneration for this position is set at $6,478 per course, in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
