About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cement Finisher Apprentice to join our team at Alliance Floor Finishing Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our concrete flooring projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure optimal density
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to meet project specifications
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and extend the lifespan of our finishes
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain our high standards
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel frequently, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on a regular basis.

Requirements and Preferences
  • Experience in the trade is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
