Certified Pharmacy Technician

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will engage in various professional roles, including Travel Medicine, INR monitoring, CDE, and Long-term care. In this role, you will assist the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager in the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Your responsibilities will encompass customer service, handling telephone inquiries, and maintaining cleanliness within the pharmacy. You will also operate the pharmacy computer system and assist in the processing and preparation of prescriptions. Additional duties will include managing drug orders and overseeing the pharmacy department's inventory.

To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed all necessary national and provincial Certified Pharmacy Technician programs and successfully passed the required examinations. Registration with the relevant College of Pharmacy in the province of employment is essential. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Mandatory registration with the College of Pharmacists (in the province of employment).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive attitude with a high level of enthusiasm.
  • The capability to relate to diverse customer needs.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team spirit.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
