Job Title: Floor Covering Installer

MCN Contracting Ltd is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a stable and even surface.
  • Install resilient floor coverings, including hardwood, laminate, and tile, to meet client specifications.
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Prepare floors for installations, removing existing coverings and contaminants as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in floor covering installation.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • Commercial, residential, and various locations experience.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Strong client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and organized work habits.
Work Environment:

Our team works in a variety of locations, including commercial and residential settings. As a Floor Covering Installer, you will be required to work in a dusty environment and be able to lift and move heavy materials.

What We Offer:
  • Permanent full-time position.
