We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Diamond View Kitchens. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, and operate CADD and other computer software systems to create detailed designs.
  • Woodworking: Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, and reinforce joints to ensure stability and durability.
  • Finishing: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics to achieve a high-gloss finish.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and inspect finished products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan the workflow to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Proficiency in operating saws and other woodworking equipment.
  • Area of Work Experience: Experience in paint spraying and working with various materials, including wood, plastics, and laminates.
  • Area of Specialization: Cabinets, doors and door frames, furniture and cabinet remodeling, kitchen cabinets and vanities.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and move heavy materials around the workshop.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, team player, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
