About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Scotiabank as a Business Systems Analyst, where you will play a key role in championing a customer-focused culture and driving business growth through technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and analyze technical requirements to ensure seamless integration with business needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet customer needs
  • Lead requirements gathering and design sessions to extract requirements and turn them into actionable plans
  • Drive the development of enterprise process engineering across infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams
  • Bridge the gap between business and IT to ensure common understanding and alignment of functional and non-functional requirements
  • Contribute to the improvement of engineering practices by providing valuable inputs and suggestions
  • Understand and apply Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a challenging IT system solution environment
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices
  • 5+ years of experience in an agile environment
  • Comfortable creating BSA artifacts, such as user stories and sequence diagrams
  • Experience in Scrum master or delivery lead capacity
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Stay current on tools and approaches that work best
  • Excited about working on new projects and learning opportunities
  • Team player with a passion for collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Engineering or Computer Science
