Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant to provide exceptional care and support for children in a home environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to ensuring the well-being and development of children.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Setting: This position is based in the employer's home.
  • Environment: A non-smoking household.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Shop for groceries and household necessities.
  • Handle laundry duties including washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and linens.
  • Implement discipline strategies as directed by parents.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy living environment for children.
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve balanced meals.
  • Supervise and provide care for children.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assist children with their homework.
Certifications
  • Current CPR Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
Safety and Security
  • Completion of a vulnerable sector check is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of handling weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
