About the Role
This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing the education services department within the Government of Canada - Central. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and e-learning, with experience in managing teams and implementing organizational policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for education services, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives
- Lead a team of middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to achieve departmental objectives
- Collaborate with regions, divisions, and departments to coordinate work and achieve organizational goals
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, and industry partners
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve departmental objectives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in education and e-learning
Requirements
- Master's degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in education and e-learning, with a strong background in leadership and management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and other relevant software
