Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical respiratory therapy services to patients in a hospital setting.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement respiratory care interventions to meet the needs of patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory therapy.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience in respiratory therapy is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent is required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements will be in accordance with the WRHA policy.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, with frequent exposure to patients with respiratory disorders. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
