Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to manage existing accounts and develop new business opportunities in the transportation industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the transportation market, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of sales success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily contact with customers, sales representatives, and carrier sales teams to negotiate transportation rates and modes.
  • Provide exceptional service levels to all customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and seasonality, utilizing carrier analytics and internal resources to make informed rating decisions.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to existing systems, procedures, and issues impacting customers and carriers.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, operations, and senior management to ensure all parties understand requirements and adhere to established timelines.
  • Oversee and lead the implementation of key action items to deliver ROI for customers.
  • Offer creative service solutions to customers.

Requirements:

  • Transportation sales/account/dispatch experience required.
  • Brokerage experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
