MNP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our Legal & Risk Management team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide legal expertise to support the success of our operations across a broad range of practice areas.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business units to provide counsel and support in a broad range of practice areas, including corporate law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct legal research and provide advice to various department heads and executives on complex legal issues.
  • Identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations, and develop practical solutions in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Work closely with MNP's practitioners to proactively identify and manage legal risk, ensuring firmwide compliance.
  • Work closely with outside counsel and manage all stages of litigation, including negotiation and settlement.
  • Assist in the review and maintenance of corporate policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft concise and clear legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
  • Develop working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including business leaders, executives, and external partners.
  • Write briefs on regulations, legal/compliance matters, and other ad hoc legal issues to defend legal position and provide guidance to the team.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP's services, businesses, and industry, and contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  • Raise awareness of MNP at community events and contribute to the firm's reputation as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years post-call experience as a lawyer.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations, and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
