Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Logistics Coordinator to join our team at GSB Freight Inc. as a Transport Truck Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Team Collaboration

Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless transportation operations.

Permit and Documentation Management

Obtain special permits and other required documents to transport cargo on international routes, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Logistics and Record-Keeping

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Cargo Security and Safety

Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.

Requirements and Certifications
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Overtime required
