Laboratory Assistant

Key Responsibilities:- Greet and interact with patients, ensuring they understand the specimen collection process and follow necessary test protocols.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings.
- Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
- Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other relevant data into our systems.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent experience in phlebotomy, intravenous infusion, and/or intravenous therapy.
- ECG training or experience is an asset.
- Proficient data entry skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
