Job Title: Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at AutoCanada. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles. Your expertise in diagnostic procedures and repair recommendations will be essential in providing an exceptional repair experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and OEM standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, cycle times, and customer communication.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections to make recommendations for repairs, ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles.
  • Document all work performed on the vehicle repair order, following OEM standards.
  • Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Service Technician 310S certificate of qualification.
  • Red Seal Certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Recon and safety inspections.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
