About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Lil Bear Contracting Corp. as a key member of our estimating department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Accurate Estimates: Develop and prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
  • Elemental Format Estimates: Prepare estimates in elemental format (Classes B, C, D) to ensure accurate cost projections.
  • Estimate Reports and Bids: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms to clients and stakeholders.
  • Tendering Procedures: Advise on tendering procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Contract Expenditures: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Supply Directory: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors to facilitate efficient project execution.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and coordination on project changes and adjustments.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate estimate preparation.

  • Client Focus: Demonstrate a strong client focus and provide excellent customer service.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
