We are seeking a highly organized and proactive professional to provide critical administrative support to our dynamic leadership team at the New Brunswick Community College. As a Fire Services Curriculum Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our fire service training programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct annual reviews of the curriculum to ensure accuracy and relevance to New Brunswick's regulations and environment.
- Monitor regulations and standards to ensure curriculum updates are reflected.
- Provide orientation to new fire service instructors on curriculum materials and updates.
- Assist in preparing learning materials, training props, and training sites for firefighters and instructors.
- Ensure accurate translation of all programs, courses, and related documents within the Fire Services division.
- Prepare training grounds for certification testing or department requests.
- Inform the Fire Services Coordinator of equipment needs for training grounds or mobile props.
- Maintain an inventory of Fire Services equipment.
- Diploma or degree with related work experience.
- Certification in Fire Service Instructor 1, Firefighter 1.
- Preference given to those with five years of experience in firefighting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French.
- Experience in translating documents and excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with the public, faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to accurately enter information into software databases.
- Excellent organizational skills, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
