Role Overview:

The SharePoint Engineering team is tasked with constructing the SharePoint platform for both on-premises and cloud environments, facilitating firmwide collaboration and application hosting & development.

Our mission extends beyond platform expertise; we aim to provide streamlined management and cost efficiency by developing management tools, APIs, and services that enable the seamless deployment of essential applications.

A significant portion of our efforts is dedicated to enhancing vendor offerings, addressing gaps, and shaping the future direction of the product in collaboration with the vendor.

We are seeking an Office 365 SharePoint migration engineer to architect and execute the company's Office 365 migration initiatives, adhering to industry best practices.

This position involves engaging with clients to facilitate their onboarding to the Office 365 platform, as well as collaborating with third-party vendors and internal teams (including LDAP Engineering, Desktop Engineering, Azure, and Office 365 engineering) to deliver a comprehensive migration strategy.

The role demands hands-on development and integration of custom tools, focusing on cloud-targeted solutions.

The candidate will also be responsible for integrating various Office 365 services, including Yammer, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Planner, and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in C#, ASP.Net, and PowerShell development.
  • Strong grasp of Modern Authentication, Graph API, and Azure AD Applications.
  • Ability to understand and implement SharePoint site and group site permissions.
  • Management of OneDrive accounts, sites, and permissions.
  • Extensive troubleshooting experience with OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Outlook across various platforms (Desktop, Web, Mobile).
  • Utilization of JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS for page and component updates.
  • Development of applications and system tools for managing infrastructure systems both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Experience with GitHub, Jira, and other continuous integration technologies, as well as Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of SharePoint, including lists, document libraries, permissions, and workflows.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Single Sign-On technologies (Ping Federate, SAML, Windows Kerberos).
  • Experience in Office 365 (SharePoint Online and OneDrive) application development, management, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with Exchange Online, user profiles, features, and mail flow.
  • Maintenance and support of SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office 365 environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for training end-users on basic SharePoint tasks and conducting training sessions.
  • Collaboration with end-users and business stakeholders to create and update SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, pages, apps, forms, and workflows.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills for both on-premises and online environments, including networking and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).
  • Ability to track and resolve issues, escalating to core engineering or Microsoft support as necessary.
  • Reorganization and restructuring of site content.
  • Training on changes to existing features in the new platform.
  • Capability to demonstrate SharePoint features and provide specialized consulting on out-of-the-box functionalities.
  • Research and recommend new features and their implementation on the new platform.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL programming.
  • Understanding of additional services within Office 365 products such as Unified Groups, Teams, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
