We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at VON Canada. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing, and bathing
- Assist with meal preparation and light household duties
- Provide respite care and support to clients and their families
- Monitor and maintain household safety
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA)
- PSW, HSW, etc. certification from another province or other relevant certification or work experience
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
