As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving food orders, crafting delightful dishes for our patrons, and ensuring the kitchen is well-organized so that every team member has the necessary products and tools readily available during their shifts. Responsibilities of a Culinary Specialist at SSP Group:
Adhere to recipes, verify portion sizes, and present dishes as ordered. Maintain an organized kitchen/workstation at the start of each shift, including managing orders and storing fresh, dry, and frozen goods, condiments, and supplies. Properly handle, store, and rotate all food products. Oversee the setup, regular maintenance, cleaning, and proper operation of assigned kitchen equipment. Manage the supply of stocks, cutting, and storage of perishable items daily to ensure product quality. Complete control sheets for opening, in-progress, and closing tasks as requested. Ensure all utensils used during the shift are cleaned and stored appropriately, maintaining a tidy workspace and storage areas. Conduct general and specific cleaning using the appropriate products as directed by management to meet hygiene standards. Follow instructions from management at the beginning of the shift and conduct a stock check before leaving to ensure everything is in order.Skills and Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience in a food service environment. High school diploma preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic mathematical abilities. Food handler's permit, as required by law. Brand certification, as required. Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.At SSP, we prioritize Diversity and Inclusion.
