Senior Architectural Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team at Steenhof Building Services Group. As a key member of our Design & Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality architectural designs and solutions for our clients.

About the Role

As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of quality and excellence. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from residential to commercial, and will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design process for architectural projects, from conceptual design to construction documentation.
  • Collaborate with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure that all designs meet building codes and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of design standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
Requirements:
  • University degree or college certificate in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Competent understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • BCIN Certifications in Legal & House or higher.
  • Fluent/Expert in Revit and Bluebeam software.
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design, preferably in the residential/commercial sector.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and good judgment.
