About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at SUN STAR KITCHEN CABINETS LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing apprentices, studying plans and specifications, and supervising other workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and instruct apprentices in cabinetmaking techniques and best practices.
  • Study plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
