Job Title: Industrial Mechanic - Turbine Machinery Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic - Turbine Machinery Specialist to join our team at TransCanada Turbines Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of gas turbine machinery, including routine maintenance work, troubleshooting, and repair of defective parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance work on gas turbine machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts, including turbine engines and other mechanical components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex mechanical issues
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or technology
  • 3-5 years of experience in gas turbine maintenance and repair
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
