John Abbott College is seeking a qualified individual to fill an anticipated vacancy for the Fall 2024 semester.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Pharmacy Techniques courses to First and Second-year students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Pharmacy Techniques courses to students
  • Develop and implement course materials and assessments
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or equivalent degree in Pharmacy
  • Undergraduate degree in Pharmacology or a related field of Science may be considered
  • Graduate degree an asset
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting
  • Current membership in good standing of the Ordre des Pharmaciens du Québec or the equivalent pharmacy governing and licensing body
  • Familiarity with the tasks required of Pharmacy Technical Assistants and Technicians
  • Knowledge of or experience in teaching or training, including the ability to plan, deliver, and assess learning in a course and supervise internships
  • Openness to the use of innovative and active teaching methods and the application of new technologies in pedagogy and professional practice
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred
