At VERB Interactive, we're seeking a skilled Applications Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing user interfaces for our web applications using React.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in regular project stand-ups and sprint reviews to ensure seamless collaboration with the team.
  • Identify and optimize applications for performance and scalability issues to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Collaborate with development, creative, and product management teams to plan and deliver compelling user-facing products from start to finish.
  • Create and enhance the structure and presentation of efficient, reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.
  • Use test-driven development to write well-tested code and ensure the highest standards of quality.
  • Participate in code reviews led by senior team members and technical leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Update and maintain the functional and UI aspects of applications to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Mentor other team members to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Stay up to date on current trends and technologies to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of JavaScript experience with a strong focus on front-end development.
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on IT Web Programming, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with React/React Native or comparable technologies (Angular, Vue, etc.).
  • Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front-end performance to deliver fast and seamless user experiences.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, including concepts like layouts, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
  • Proficient with code versioning (Git, SVN) to ensure version control and collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and broad knowledge of current and upcoming web development techniques and principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment.
