The role of the Food Service Supervisor at I & I ENTERPRISES INC. is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining services. This position requires a dedicated individual who can effectively manage staff and maintain high standards of food quality and service.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
This position is based in a restaurant setting, where you will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement methods to meet work schedules efficiently.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff responsible for food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports as required.
- Compile food order summaries for the chef.
- Possess knowledge of the establishment's culinary offerings.
- Supervise the assembly of trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
- Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
This role involves supervising a team of 3-4 individuals, including:
- Cooks (general)
- Food service counter attendants and food preparers
- Kitchen and food service helpers
A criminal record check is mandatory for this position.
Transportation and TravelA valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required.
Work ConditionsThe role demands:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and engage in walking.
- Flexibility to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking tasks.
