Green Acres Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at one of our seniors' living facilities. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Direct Care Team: Oversee and provide direction to Health Care Aides (HCAs) in implementing care plans that meet the unique needs of our residents.
- Provide Direct Care: Deliver personalized care and support to residents, including administering medications, assisting with daily activities, and promoting independence.
- Monitor and Assess Resident Health: Regularly monitor and assess residents' health, identifying any changes or concerns and reporting them to the care team.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency calls, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
- Medication Management: Distribute medications to residents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Charting and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including charting, paperwork, and reporting.
Requirements:
- Education and Certification: Hold a Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma and maintain current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- Criminal Record Check: Possess a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (within the last 6 months).
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Attitude and Flexibility: Exhibit a flexible, willing, and positive attitude, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid Certification: Possess current First Aid Certification.
- WHMIS Training: Have completed WHMIS Training.
