We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Lead to join our team at Modern Niagara. As a key member of our VDC team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of construction coordination, interference plans, and further developing Engineering Consultant designs into fabricable/installable/coordinated virtual models.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a process to produce cost-effective, optimized coordinated models and distribute them to the project team ahead of schedule.
- Collaborate with Foreman/Superintendents, Project Managers, and Construction Managers to ensure designs conform to applicable standards.
- Produce detailed fabrication drawings for electrical systems and work closely with the foreman and project managers to produce coordination drawings and VDC models.
- Manage and update the project coordination model on a weekly basis and ensure that content from all VDC platforms and collaborators are incorporated into the model.
- Track changes to the design intent and ensure that model updates are performed accordingly.
- Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or relevant technical diploma, journeyman status, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of extensive, practical, and successful experience in the Electrical trades and construction industries.
- Proficient in Navisworks, Revit with Fabrication Parts, and AutoCAD.
- Strong computer skills with hands-on working knowledge of MS Office and digital scheduling software.
- Knowledge of construction costs, budgets, schedules, and the construction process.
