Position Overview

We are seeking a Principal User Experience Designer to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of defining and designing player-focused systems, collaborating closely with game designers and developers to ensure seamless implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze player objectives, motivations, and needs to create a cohesive experience.
  • Design and execute the user interface flow and layout across gameplay elements.
  • Articulate and share the UX vision with various teams to maintain consistency throughout the project.
  • Create functional prototypes and assess feature concepts, identifying and resolving player friction points.
  • Determine optimal inputs, controls, and interactions to guide players effectively and ensure a unified user experience.
  • Oversee the implementation of functionalities and monitor progress.
  • Engage actively with cross-functional teams (Game Design, UI, Audio, Art, Narrative, etc.).
  • Continuously evaluate and refine designs based on user feedback and testing outcomes.
  • Utilize usability studies and player insights to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Investigate opportunities to integrate the latest UX innovations into the project.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in UX design.
  • Proven track record with at least one AAA video game title in a User Experience Designer capacity.
  • A strong background and enthusiasm for multiplayer, GaaS, and PVP games is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine is advantageous.
  • A deep appreciation for video game culture.
  • A proactive approach to pushing creative boundaries and a commitment to excellence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both French and English is required.
