About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Equipment Technician to join our team at ALLFREIGHT TRANSPORT LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Issues: Use your technical expertise to identify and repair problems with commercial transport truck systems, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks and services to prevent mechanical failures and ensure our trucks are always in top condition.
  • Inspect and Test Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and make recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Estimate Costs and Plan Work: Estimate the cost of repairs and plan work to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors: Work closely with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs and maintenance.
  • Document Work Performed: Complete detailed reports to record problems and work performed, and provide recommendations for future maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field

  • Hours: 35 hours per week
