Job Summary

Highbrow LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient cloud-based solutions using Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based applications using Python, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and industry standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure that all code meets the company's coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python, cloud computing, and related technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve our solutions.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our applications.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment scripts using tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to identify and resolve defects, and ensure that our applications meet the required quality standards.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure, including the selection of cloud providers, instance types, and storage solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for our applications, including technical guides, user manuals, and API documentation.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Python development, with a strong focus on cloud computing and DevOps.
  • Proficient knowledge of Python 3.x.x, with experience in developing scalable and efficient cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a strong understanding of their services and features.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Experience with automated testing and deployment using tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud security, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization, including rightsizing instances, using spot instances, and implementing cost-effective storage solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud-native applications, including serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with cloud security frameworks, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization tools, including AWS Cost Explorer and GCP Cloud Cost.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
