**Job Summary**

The City of Abbotsford's Operations Department is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join their team as a Utility Person in the Sewers Division. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is eager to develop their skills and advance their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair duties in the sewers field, including operating moderately large vehicles under varying traffic conditions.
  • Establish and carry out repair, maintenance, and construction duties in the sewers field.
  • Participate in a full-time skill development program designed to prepare candidates to become a Utility Person (Sewers).

**Requirements**

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Eligible for Environmental Operator's Certification Program OIT Certification by having three months' experience at a Class 1 or higher facility/system, or completion of 90 hours in an approved basic operator training course.
  • Ability to obtain Class 3 BC Driver's Licence by completion of development program.
