As an Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop personalized treatment plans and provide comprehensive support to clients and their families. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building trusting relationships and effectively conveying information.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific goals.
- Provide direct therapy interventions to enhance clients' independence and quality of life.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate clients and their families on strategies to promote recovery and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS).
- Current BCLS certification.
- Prior experience in co-facilitating education sessions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in French is an asset.
