Senior Analyst, Public Markets, Absolute Return Strategies

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Public Markets team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the development of our Absolute Return Strategy portfolio and strategy, and contributing to the origination of new managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director, Public Markets, to develop and monitor our Absolute Return Strategy investment strategy.
  • Participate in manager review and due diligence meetings to ensure the highest standards of investment performance.
  • Contribute to the origination of new managers and strategies to enhance our portfolio.
  • Perform quantitative analysis to inform manager evaluation and portfolio construction.
  • Support the broader Public Markets team across various investment strategies.
  • Participate in the branding of our organization by nurturing relationships with external managers and providers.
  • Contribute to the development of infrastructure and tools necessary for external manager analysis and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the Responsible Investment group to integrate and implement our Responsible Investment strategy with external managers.
  • Contribute to our reputation as a respectful employer, partner, and fiduciary.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience at an investment bank, asset manager, hedge fund, pension plan, or fund-of-funds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a keen ability to convey technical information visually.
  • CFA, CAIA, or other relevant professional designation would be an asset.
