McCain Foods is seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our production team in Florenceville, New Brunswick. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Handle and move materials, including 25 kg boxes and bags, with precision and care.
- Participate in changeovers and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Contribute to sanitation duties and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs) to ensure product quality and safety.
- Meet SQCDPE targets by understanding and setting goals for KPIs.
- Communicate effectively with team members as an Area Lead (Key Area Resource).
- Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations) and follow JHAs to work safely.
- Address production issues and work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Participate in team meetings as required.
- Complete the Performance Excellence Program (PEP) training and evaluation annually.
- Complete core curriculum E-learning courses.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
- Ability to work effectively with plant supervision and production employees.
- Excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Successful completion of a 90-day training period.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate production form completion.
- Continuous initiative and involvement in improving processes.
- Highly motivated, observant, and proactive with a positive attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to and embracing change.
- Willingness to work shift work, including nights and weekends.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good safety record and commitment to a "safety-first" approach.
