We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Service Associate to join our team at the Dexterra Group. As a Food Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer questions about food, beverages, and catering services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the food service area and ensure all materials and equipment are clean and well-maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with servers and hosts to maximize seating and ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Ensure that condiments and supplies are pre-portioned and stocked as needed.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Empty garbage, change linen bags, and dispose of garbage and recycling in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate customer feedback and comments to servers to ensure a positive and memorable experience.

Requirements

  • No prior experience is necessary, but previous food service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Basic computer skills for POS system and payroll system.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and solve practical problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor towards clients and colleagues.
