About the Role

Bridgeway Connection Services is seeking a skilled Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and progress.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to address their unique challenges and goals.
  • Implement life skills workshops and programs to promote healthy development and independence.
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, providing support and advocacy as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor office and volunteer staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Mental health first aid certification.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification.
  • Cultural Awareness Training.
  • Medication Administration certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Child welfare check.
  • Valid driver's licence.
