Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive audiology and speech-language services to individuals across various age groups. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care and support to those with communication disorders.
Location: The primary site for this position is within the Sydney area.
Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $44.25 to $54.86, with a biweekly commitment of 70 hours.
About Us: Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia (HSNS) is a well-established organization that has been providing essential audiology and speech-language pathology services since 1963. Our mission is to prevent and mitigate the effects of communication disorders through a network of 37 clinical sites across 26 communities in Nova Scotia. Our team comprises nationally certified professionals who work collaboratively to uphold clinical standards and deliver specialized programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the advancement of clinical practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists (NSCASLP).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
- Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend service requirements.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pediatric speech and language assessment and treatment.
- Familiarity with various service delivery models, including telepractice.
- Knowledge of best practices in early intervention for children with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within interprofessional teams.
