Role Overview: The Counter Sales Representative serves as the main point of contact for customers at our branch. This position is essential in delivering exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs, resolving issues, ensuring order accuracy, and recommending suitable products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Collaboration: Support and work cohesively within a team setting.
- Customer Service Focus: Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and sales.
- Attention to Detail: Accurately generate, modify, and verify sales orders and related documentation.
- Effective Communication: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills with customers and colleagues.
- Organizational Skills: Manage a high volume of customer requests efficiently while adapting to interruptions.
- Technological Proficiency: Utilize phone systems, computers, and POS systems effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical distribution or counter sales
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as wire cutting and handling
- Prior experience in the electrical industry is essential
- Basic math skills for simple calculations
- Familiarity with MS Office and willingness to learn new software
- Comprehensive knowledge of E.B. Horsman & Son's products and services
