Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders and ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
  • Work independently to label and fill/refill prescriptions, and perform an independent double check for repeat prescription release.
  • Verify that customers receive the correct prescription(s) and identify potential therapeutic issues that require the Pharmacist's attention.
  • Work collaboratively with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities and prepare/review and process billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents.
  • Assist patients who are picking up prescriptions and enter prescriptions into the computer, retrieve and/or correct data in the computer, and screen calls and gather relevant information for the Pharmacist.
  • Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications, review invoices or other documentation, pack and ship prescription orders, and receive and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal and contractual obligations.
  • The Registered Pharmacy Technician is required to renew their Registration on an annual basis and participate in the Quality Assurance Process on a regular basis as part of their continuing education.
  • The Registered Pharmacy Technician will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or successful completion of Alberta College of Pharmacists Bridging Program and a Certificate of Registration.
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kroll required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
