Education Requirements

Work Environment

  • Work settings include commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for tile installation.
  • Mix and apply mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Align and straighten tiles accurately.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using hand and power tools.
  • Pack grout into joints and remove excess material.
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as necessary.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles for decorative designs.
  • Construct underbeds and install necessary hardware.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite materials.
  • Install tile strips effectively.
Transportation and Travel
  • Personal transportation is required.
Physical Demands
  • Physically demanding role involving heavy lifting.
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and maintain attention to detail.
