Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy team in the production of prescriptions and other pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive customer prescriptions, gather all necessary information, and ensure completeness of information
- Maintain patient and drug information files
- Check pharmaceutical products prepared by another regulated pharmacy technician or by unregulated pharmacy personnel, including specialized pharmacy packaging
- Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
- Administer vaccines when required
- Preparation of prescription labels, affixing prescription, and auxiliary labels to prescription container
- Reconciling accounts and collecting outstanding monies from patients where necessary
- Retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, mixing, and reconstitution of medications
- Administer vaccines where permitted
- Clarify prescriptions where permitted
- Price prescriptions, prepare receipts, invoices, letters, memos, and general filing
- Stock medications and related supplies, rotate, and monitor stock
- Maintaining perpetual inventory system in Healthwatch
- Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality
- Registered pharmacy technician certification and maintained registration with appropriate pharmacy licensing body (Membership in good standing with no cautions or previous findings)
- Certification for the administration of injections
- High level of professionalism
- Knowledge of professional discipline, technical specialties, related process
- Ability to implement practical procedures of systems which are moderately complex
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Experience with HealthWatch is an asset
- Respect for the confidential and individual rights of our customers
- Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and over the telephone with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, prescribers, and customers
