Avery Dennison Smartrac is seeking an experienced Embroidery Machine Operator to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As an Embroidery Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating Tajima embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered designs on various materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Tajima embroidery machines to embroider designs on different materials, ensuring precision and quality.
- Set up machines with the correct thread, needles, fabric, hoops, and design patterns according to job requirements.
- Monitor embroidery process, inspect finished products for quality, and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent and accurate designs.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the machines.
- Maintain records of designs, thread usage, production output, and any machine maintenance or issues encountered.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating the machinery, ensuring a safe work environment.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience operating Tajima or similar embroidery machines in a manufacturing or apparel industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in hooping a garment onto the machine.
- Proficiency in setting up designs, changing threads, and addressing minor machine issues.
- Ability to ensure precision and accuracy in the embroidered designs and detect flaws or irregularities.
- Capability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials as required in a manufacturing environment.
- English speaking is a must.
- Ability to work and collaborate within a team setting.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position for the morning shift (7:50am to 4:30pm) and night shift (4:20pm to 1am) Monday to Friday.
