Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at the AIM Recyclage Québec site. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises and providing excellent customer service, including unloading different types of trailers from customers. You will work safely by wearing personal protective equipment and respecting safety instructions.

  • Operate the forklift to move materials around the warehouse;
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient unloading of trailers;
  • Sort and classify different types of metals to ensure accurate inventory management;
  • Weigh and record material to maintain accurate records;
  • Perform general maintenance of the premises to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Maintain property and equipment in good condition to prevent damage and ensure efficiency;
  • Clean your workspace at the end of each shift to maintain a clean and organized environment;
  • Prepare shipments and receipts to ensure accurate inventory management;
  • Wear personal protective equipment at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Experience operating a forklift is a must;
  • Experience in metal recycling is an asset;
  • Knowledge of metals is an asset.

Skills Sought

  • Ability to work in a dusty environment;
  • Ability to work outdoors, rain or shine;
  • Good physical shape to perform tasks that require lifting and moving heavy materials;
  • Work safely by following safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment;
  • Be responsible and resourceful to handle unexpected situations;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Be punctual and diligent to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Additional Information

  • Full-time, permanent position with 100% guaranteed job security;
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours;
  • Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 4:30 (possibility to work from 8 to 4:30).
