Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Specialist to provide nurturing care for children in a private household setting. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children while assisting with their daily needs.

Employment Details
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset or equivalent experience
Work Environment
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (not a condition of employment).
  • Work will take place in the employer's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Change diapers and care for infants' needs.
  • Sterilize feeding bottles and prepare formulas.
  • Assume full responsibility for household tasks in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and household tasks.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed children.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social skills.
  • Maintain records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
  • Prepare children for rest periods.
  • Supervise and care for children, attending to their emotional well-being.
Qualifications
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate are required.
  • Criminal record check and medical exam are mandatory.
Transportation Information

Public transportation is available for commuting.

Work Conditions

Candidate should be prepared for repetitive tasks.
